Presentation Topic: Deploying a successful Self Service BI strategy

Self Service Analytics (or SSBI) is a capability most CIOs want to enable.  Its benefits are clear: bring analytical agility to business users while removing the burden of small report requests from I.T. However, deploying a successful SSBI strategy requires considering multiple risk factors that may get on the way of generating value.

In this session, Javier will provide an overview of the technical and process factors that are critical when planning deployment of tools like Tableau or Power BI.

Bio: Javier Guillen is a Senior Business Architect for North Highland, a global management consulting company. He has 18 years of experience working in technology, with ten of those in business intelligence. He is an adjunct professor for the City University of New York (CUNY) data & analytics program and also a board advisor for the Computer Technical Institute at Central Piedmont Community College. He co-founded the Charlotte Business Intelligence User Group, a non profit dedicated to promote technology in the local community.
