The Analytics and Big Data Society is pleased to invite you to its second quarterly mini-conference of 2015, Sports Analytics, being held on Thursday, June 25th from 3-6pm. Join us for exciting presentations from Prof. Tim Chartier, Dr. Meredith Wills and Ryan Ritz. About Prof. Chartier: Associate Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science at Davidson College, Dr. Tim Chartier specializes in data analytics. Tim has consulted on sports analytics problems for ESPN's Sport Science program, the Weather Channel, the NBA and a fantasy sports site. Tim frequently consults businesses on data analytics questions.

About Dr. Wills: Dr. Wills is a sports data scientist and technology consultant. Before moving into sports, she spent two decades doing NASA-funded astrophysics research. Her resulting data science expertise has proven ideal for working with the latest ball and player tracking technology, and she specializes in spatial analysis and visualization.

About Ryan Ritz: Ryan Ritz is a Managing Director at Novantas. Over the past 20 years, Ritz has led the pricing and customer analytics functions for the largest retail branch banking system, as well as the largest direct bank in North America, combining extensive experience with quantitative techniques to advance the application of pricing analytics in banking. Ritz also developed a model for horse racing, written in SAS, for his side project.
